Testifies that as constable he caught Herbert Rowland and Margaret Hordley alone in Margaret`s house in the summer of 1491; as he made to arrest them Herbert claimed that he had contracted marriage with her previously, and she confirmed it. Herbert asked for banns at that point but then subsequently prevented their issue.

1494-03-04: John Bedyll, Witness for Plaintiff
Testifies that she was present for a future contract between Herbert Rowland and Elizabeth Croft and that she heard both Elizabeth and her sister indicating that her employer, Master Banks, would be very angry about it, her sister urging her to repudiate the contract and return the courtship gifts.
