, Witness for Plaintiff
Testifies that in response to the questions he posed to her around June or July 1491, Elizabeth Willy told the witness that she had contracted with John Kendall and stated that she would never renounce the contract. Testifies that he subsequently heard both Willy and Kendall assert the same thing numerous times. Testifies that on Kendall`s behalf he gave Willy a galleyman`s brooch, and that she accepted it thankfully, recognizing it as the token she had previously given Kendall. Testifies that it is common knowledge in the parish of St. Edmund King and Martyr that Willy and Kendall contracted marriage.
