1489-10-22: Henry Kyrkeby  c. Eleanor Roberts  MarriageLondon Metropolitan Archives, MS DL/C/A/001/MS0906561r, 62v-63v, 67r-69r
1490-01-31: John Anton, Witness for Defendant
Testifies that he saw Eleanor Roberts at John Webbe`s house on 1 February 1488 and again at John Whitypoll`s house on 2-3 February. Testifies that it was impossible for her to have been at the place of the alleged contract given the distance between Hornchurch and Corringham.

1489-10-22: John at Wode, Witness for Plaintiff
Testifies that he witnessed a present contract between Henry Kyrkeby and Eleanor Roberts, 2 February 1489. Testifies that around 17 August, he heard that Roberts had contracted with another man; when he asked her about it, she denied the rumours, saying she wished to confirm her contract with Kyrkeby.

1489-10-22: John Kyrkeby, Witness for Plaintiff
Agrees with previous witness, John at Wode.

1489-12-04: John Whitypoll, Witness for Defendant
Testifies that Eleanor Roberts arrived at his house on 1 February 1488, remaining there for a week. Testifies that she told him she had left the parish of Hornchurch in search of better working conditions because her master, whom she was not bound to by any agreement, did not pay her an appropriate wage. Testifies that given both the distance of 12 miles between his home and the parish from which Roberts came, and that he saw Roberts every night and morning during her stay, it is impossible that she could have met with Henry Kyrkeby on 2 February 1488. Believes that witness John Kyrkeby favours Henry Kyrkeby in the case.

1489-12-04: Edmund Brethnam, Witness for Defendant
Testifies that he saw Eleanor Roberts at John Whitypoll`s house on 2 February 1488, and that it is common knowledge in the parish of Corringham that she stayed there for five or six days thereafter. Testifies that he witnessed a marriage contract between Roberts and John Baker.

1493-11-17: Richard Cordey  c. Lettice Smyth  MarriageLondon Metropolitan Archives, MS DL/C/A/001/MS09065169r-170r
1493-11-17: Robert Cordey, Witness for Plaintiff
Testifies that Richard Cordey, the witness`s brother, was present when Robert and Lettice contracted marriage, by ambiguous words in Lettice`s case, in the second half of 1492, and that this was common knowledge in the parish.
