Henry Baker, Thomas Pursot c. Collecta Rawlyn
London Metropolitan Archives, MS DL/C/A/001/MS09065173v-175r
, Witness for Plaintiff
Agrees with previous witness, John Tailour, because he was present when the events he described happened; testifies that Collecta Rawlyn and the scribe Sentjeste urged him with a promise of payment to offer testimony that John Rawlyn had written up an alternative will making Collecta and Carr his executors, though he denies the existence of another will. Also indicates that Lord Dynham attempted to arbitrate the dispute as Rawlyn and the executors were his servants; he testified that when Sentjeste was examined by Lord Dehman, he recognized the testament shown to him, and asserted that it was in fact the actual testament of the deceased.
